Yamaha YZF-R125 first ride
Yamaha launched the all-new YZF-R125 in Valencia this week, and MCN was the first to test ride the new motorcycle on Spanish roads and Valencia’s go-kart track, a miniature replica of the MotoGP circuit. The R125 is a direct rival to the Honda CBR125R, and you can see our exclusive video of the motorcycle here first. See the full test of the Yamaha YZF-R125 in next week’s Motor Cycle News, out Wednesday February 27.

shit bike, dont give money for this imitation of motorcycle,if you want something to enter the superbike world and you are 16-18,buy a cagiva mito and once you learn how to ride ,open the exsaust system and get 30hp.
nope, just buy the aprilia rs125. 30 hp pretty much as standard and 115mph, and not from a small shite company like cagiva!!!
What’s better, Honda cbr125R or Yamaha YZF-R125??? Plz answer and thanks!
Yamaha 100%. Honda CBR ist richtig kacke.
This is difficult to answer, because every bike has an own function. Example : YSF-R125 is made for Race or a sport driving style….cbr is allround…i hope u understand it =)
give him a microphone!
why wud anyone wont a shitty 2stroke thing like tht thou wen they can get probz the best 125cc bike out ?
R125 is 4-stroke…
ya sasij
Bit late now, they’ve filmed it and uploaded it :p teehee
I wouldn’t reccomend the CBR125 if you are 6″1 or over and 200lbs or over. Because i am 6″1 200lbs and it struggles to get past 60mph and i feel and look cramped when i ride it…Hope this helps, but if your stuck with a budget like me it will have to be the Honda.Because they have been out for 4-5 years which gives them some time to depreciate and the yamaha has only been out for a couple of years which means the prices are still quite high… Hope this helps you. =)
they’re both made for commuting and neither are race bikes. same function, however the R125 looks better, that’s it really
remember, dont overlook the 2 stroke alternative. Small capacity bikes are much better in 2 stroke form
The R125 is definately not the best 125cc sportsbike. You could argue that its the best all rounder or commuter 125 but no way could it be the best sportsbike due to the fact that there’s no where near enough power
and btw Cagiva are not a small company and the Mitop is one of the the best, if not THE best 125 out there although i prefer the aprilia RS. Not because its ‘better’ but just because i like it more
I have the R125,but I think the Aprilia RS is the best…
how fast this motorbike?
135 km/h
You all just speak about the RS, but whats about the Honda NSR?????????????
which will be overweight, oversized and less responsive. No thanks
Ive raced my RS125 around for a year now and covered 10,000 miles and it has never gone bang and never will do while I own it
Me and two other friends ordered this bike two days ago. Can’t wait. Suddenly, 14 days is a very long time! xD
The NSR is so much better, it has RS125 speed with honda quality & Reliability!!!! And doesn’t blow up every 5 miles.
the dude sucks.
I’ve just bought an r125 as my first bike. It’s so responsive but really user friendly. Looks great, feels comfy for taller riders (I’m 6ft 2) and so far I’ve had no problems at all (although I wouldn’t expect to in 3 days). To be honest, I can’t compare to any other bikes, such as the RS, the CBR or the NSR, but having done my test on a CBF125R I definately prefer this. Just feels more meaty and dependable! Although I am likely to be slightly biased, having forked out £3500 on the damn thing!
Trust me mate, you won’t regret it. You’ve got all of Yamaha’s racing experience there and it’s such a head turner! Good choice on bike.
id really love to slap this guys smug face!
me, too ;D
yeah it would handle you well, I know a 6′3 guy whos around 16 stone and his bike still hits 80 mph, your good to go mate
